It's a busy time for Drawn and Quarterly artists- there are art shows and retrospectives all over this vast continent! So I'd like to remind you of what's ongoing and soon-upcoming so you can plan accordingly. First up, Chris Ware is being honoured in his hometown at the Art Institute of Chicago. The Comic Art and Architecture of Chris Ware draws from the rich archive of architectural photographs, ephemera, drawings, and artifacts that Ware has looked to for inspiration and source material, and places them alongside drawings from his comic stories, such as Jimmy Corrigan: The Smartest Kid on Earth and Building Stories. This exhibit is on now and runs until January 19th, 2015, on weekdays only. Full details here

Over in Anacortes, WA, the original artwork and hand-made objects of Geneviève Castrée are on display through all of December at Industrious Gallery (1005 8th Street). Industrious have some beautiful previews over on their Facebook page

On the other side of the border, Art Spiegelman's massive Co-Mix: A Retrospective is coming to the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. The exhibit features more than 300 works on paper (details of which are here) as well as recent multimedia projects. Co-Mix opens December 20th and runs until March 14th, 2015

In New York, you have a mere few weeks left to catch Ten Flemish Illustrators at Flanders House (620 8th Avenue, 44th Floor). The exhibit features original paintings by Brecht Vandenbroucke and nine other up-and-coming Flemish artists. It's been on for the better part of this year but closes December 31st

And finally, Seth is covering Canadian ground in two provinces! In Lethbridge, AB, Seth's Dominion is on view at the University of Lethbridge's Main Gallery (4401 University Drive) until January 15th, 2015. Details about that here. In Guelph, ON, Seth's very first exhibit of paintings, Paintings in Gold, is on at Renann Isaacs Contemporary (31 Quebec Street) until December 24th

Road trip, anyone?
