Marc Bell and Anders Nilsen are travelling up the west coast (with a first stop in Minneapolis) next month in support of their brand new D+Q books!

Marc Bell will be discussing his first full-length graphic novella, Stroppy,  which paints a strange and wordplay-loving world in which the titular hero hopes to win big in a songwriting contest organized by the All-Star Schnauzer Band. Mishap and hilarity ensue as Bell explodes the divide between fine art, doodling, and comics. Stroppy will be in stores June 16th- check out a preview today.  Anders Nilsen will talk about Poetry is Useless, an expansive, beautifully-packaged collection of his sketchbooks that is part travelogue, part commentary on politics and culture, and part conversational ping-pong match. Poetry is Useless will officially be in stores July 14th, but copies will be available at all stops along the tour. We had a chance to see advances at TCAF last month, and they're wonderful- check out a preview.
