Hello, Ohio! This weekend is the inaugural Cartoon Crossroads Columbus, and judging by its all-star lineup and stacked programming schedule, it will become a not-to-be-missed festival for years to come. Come welcome it and some of your fave D+Q cartoonists-including Kate Beaton, Craig Thompson, Art Spiegelman, and Dylan Horrocks-to town this Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd

CXC also marks the final stop on Kate Beaton's tour for Step Aside, Pops. Please note she will only be there tomorrow, Friday, October 2nd. Friday only, OK? But what an event it will be-Kate will be joined by Craig Thompson (Blankets)  in a conversation moderated by Jeff Smith (Bone). It's sure to be equal parts hilarious and heartwarming. Where and when? At the Wexner Center for the Arts (1871 N High Street), 7pm. And guess what? This program is free (!), and open to the public! Both Kate and Craig will be signing before their event, from 5:15pm until 6:30pm sharp, at the Wexner Center Store located within the venue, so come on down and make an evening of it.

Don't miss any of these other hot programs this weekend:
