This coming Saturday, September 17th, the incomparable Lynda Barry will be at the opening reception of her third solo exhibition at the Adam Baumgold Gallery, The Marlys Show. While the cocktail will be taking place from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm, the show itself will be open from September 17 - November 5, 2016—so even if you can't make it to the opening, you'll still have plenty of time to see The Marlys Show in full force.

Devoted to Lynda Barry's beloved character Marlys, the exhibition will feature 80 original drawings (including the one above. There will be work dating from the early appearances of Marlys in 1986 to watercolor drawings of Marlys from 2016, with stories from Lynda’s books The Fun House; Come Over, Come Over; It’s So Magic, The Freddie Stories, and of course The Greatest of Marlys. Also included will be many of Lynda Barry’s comic drawings that were published in Raw, The Village Voice, Esquire, Newsweek and The New York Times, among others.

And furthermore, we're delighted to announce that The Greatest of Marlys! has now spent two weeks on the New York Times Bestseller List! The honour could not be more deserved. Three cheers for Marlys!
