It's that time of year again folks! Free Comic Book Day is coming to a comic book store near you on Saturday, May 6th 2017. Click on the aforementioned link and find out where it's going down, and be sure to come out and support comics as well as comics retailers everywhere!

This year D+Q has two FCBD offerings. The first is a split issue: a preview of the highly anticipated Hostage by Guy Delisle which shares the true to life tale of a kidnapped Doctors without Borders adminstrator—a work NPR recently called "gripping" and "powerful." And it also previews Poppies of Iraq by Brigitte Findakly and Lewis Trondheim, which recounts Findakly's childhood growing up in the midst of a changing culture in her homeland.

There's more! Our second FCBD offering is the all-ages "Colorful Monsters" which previews an exciting summer release If Found... Please Return to Elise Gravel by Elise Gravel, plus more from our Enfant imprint: new Kitaro, Moomin, and Anna and Froga!

Montreal, take note: Librairie Drawn & Quarterly will most certainly be participating: we'll be giving out comics starting at 10 am. And local author Elise Gravel will be signing copies of the Colorful Monsters comic from 1 to 2pm. Be sure to stop by.

Happy #FCBD everyone!
